A selection of euro-denominated marketable debt securities

RICHELIEU MONETAIRE

Pure monetary management

Managed by Etienne Dubourg, Richelieu Monétaire is a short-term money market fund. It is invested primarily in money market securities issued in euros at a fixed or variable interest rate.

The fund's management complies with regulatory obligations regarding short-term money market UCITS funds and, in particular, limits its investments to financial instruments with residual maturity, until the legal maturity date, not exceeding 397 days.

Richelieu Monétaire, which favours a regular increase in its net asset value, aims to achieve performance equal to that of its reference benchmark, the capitalised EONIA index, less management costs.

This fund is therefore an ideal vehicle for short-term cash investments.

Information on money market UCITS funds

The return of money market UCITS funds invested in euro-denominated debt securities is directly linked to the development of interest rates determined by the European Central Bank (ECB) according to the monetary policy it wishes to implement.

Accordingly, given the current environment of very low (and even negative) money market interest rates, the fund’s net asset value is likely to decrease occasionally or structurally, meaning the fund portfolio may provide negative returns or insufficient returns to cover management costs.

The management company will then endeavour to reduce management costs in order to limit the impact of such an environment.

The above benchmark reflects the UCITS’ volatility over five years based on its exposure to money markets. It is calculated based on the UCITS fund’s historical returns and, in the event of insufficient historical data, based on the returns of its reference benchmark.

The major risk for the UCITS that has not been sufficiently taken into account by the benchmark is:

- Credit risk: This concerns, for debt securities and monetary instruments, the risk of a sudden deterioration in the creditworthiness of an issuer or that of its default.
